Back in Action: Halloween

Sorry for the L......O......N......G...... stretch of no posts here but we'll try to start up again.

Halloween was fun. It started raining fairly hard right as we were to leave for trick-or-treating, so it was abbreviated. We had August's and Ansen's families over Friday night for pumpkin carving and pizza which was as fun as it was messy. Saturday was sunny during the day and very windy, then rainy. We went to a Halloween party at August's house in the afternoon - lots of kids and costumes and semi-controlled mayhem.

Better late than never: Katie's Birthday

Katie's birthday was really fun. The weather was warm and sunny, a fantastic day for the end of March here in Albany. Heck, it snowed last year on her birthday. The kids ran amok in the yard, Mommy made yet another cool birthday cake (to go along with the "fish" theme of the party), and Pop-Pop's magic show was a huge hit.

Katie had a little party at school. I love the hat.

Mid-January in Albany

Cold. Snowy. Stuck inside. Welcome to January! At least we have Katie's wooden trains to play with - the whole family loves those things. And we did get to go bowling yesterday; Katie bowled her first strike ever! That's pretty cool. Here's some new photos.

Christmas in California

After an err...interesting...day of airline travel yesterday (let's just say there was a lot of de-icing going on...), we had a great Christmas morning. Katie got the "Doctor Set" she has been asking for since July as well as the "pen that lights up with paint", that she's also been asking for.
