Thanksgiving weekend in Queens...

...was fun. Katie liked all activity at Nana' House. And the ice cream...


We went to see the inflation of the Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons on Wednesday night. It was fun, despite the throngs. If it's a cool thing and in NYC, throngs are a guarantee.

We took her to the local old-time ice cream parlor Eddie's Sweet Shop, a Forest Hills gem. She seems to rather enjoy the ice cream.

Auntie Jean!

We were lucky to have Jean come out to visit us last week. We all had a lot of fun. There was a lot of ice cream consumed (and tea and muffins. And word puzzles too). Katie liked the extra attention. And the ice cream consumption tutorial (see below).

Halloween

We had lots of fun on Halloween. We visited a bunch of our friends and Katie showed off how cute she was in her costume. She even kept the hat on this year!


You're right I AM cute!

Mom and Dad even got in costumes this year for a costume party on Saturday. Mom was Earl from "My Name is Earl' (she even did the requisite eyes closed/head back picture thing) while Dad was some sort of dude from the 70's.
